Teachers Teaching in Field (K-12) in Southern Education States
Click to view the full article (PDF) A highly qualified teacher is one who is teaching in his or her field of study, has at least a bachelors degree in the subject area they are teaching, has achieved full state certification or licensureing, and can demonstrate subject-area competence in the academic subject that he or she teaches.
