Click to view the full article (PDF) Across the United States, the percentage of minority students in K-12 public schools rose 5 percentage points from 1993 to 2000, reflecting the growing diversity of the countryís population as a whole. At the same time, minority enrollment in Southern Education States, in which a higher percentage of minority students are educated, increased only 3 points.
